Data leaks–guy, who recently published 620 million data records, publishes second data set, containing another 127 million records:

– affected this time: Ixigo, YouNow, Houzz,, Coinmama, Roll20, Stronghold Kingdoms, PetFlow
– data sets are also "fresh" (2018)
– it looks like this guy exploited a zero-day vulnerability in PostgreSQL

Here's my new portable computer. The case was finally printed successfully so I was able to make sure all the electronics actually fit. The cables need a lot of wrangling so I might look for some shorter ones. The list of components is on my blog:

This was a fun custom deck to make. I'm happy to have a sturdy little computer with a mechanical keyboard that I can take with me.

Newly discovered security issue affects over 485,000 Ubiquiti devices:

– attackers misuse a discovery service on port 10001 to carry out DDoS amplification attacks
– exploiting this vulnerability affects the SSH service of the device
– affected models: NanoStation, AirGrid, LiteBeam, PowerBeam, …

Disable the discovery service, if not needed:

Self-Encrypting Drives, or why "hardware" SSD encryption is mostly crap:

Great #35C3 talk, with live demos (and a kernel panic). Conclusion: stick to dm-crypt.

Y'a t-il parmi vous des gens qui mangent #local, #direct, #circuitcourt interessé-e-s pour être les bêta-testeurs d'un projet collaboratif que je monte ?

"Facebook is a new problem to our society because people believe in fake news posted there" say people who think that our society should be based on a fiction book written 2000 years ago.

The equation is simple: you "pay" for content with your brain (aka "watching ads"), you become dumber, your brain worth less and you need to watch more ads to give money to the producer. Which, from content producer, becomes "dumb brain catcher". It's an ecosystem, get out of it.

the banal pointlessness of your existence can be expressed in less than 140 characters.

Quand #Twitter découvre qu'avoir plus de 140 caractères est plus facile pour s'exprimer:

« This shows that more space makes it easier for people to fit thoughts in a Tweet, so they could say what they want to say »

Woao. C'est une foutue révolution. 🙄
C'est bien, il leur aura juste fallu 11 ans pour réaliser. Quels visionnaires ! C'est beau, les startups innovantes.
